The Timmins Symphony Orchestra opens its doors to the public.  We are searching for talented musicians who might like to share their love of music with our community by performing with the orchestra.  Rehearsals are Mondays from 7 to 9:30pm.  We perform 5 concerts each season.

Please join us for an open rehearsal on Monday, September 18th at 7pm at St. Anthony's Cathedral to get an idea of what playing in your community orchestra could be.

See you there!!!

Canadian mezzo-soprano Rachel Wood, the Timmins Symphony Chorus and the TSO join forces in our traditional spring celebration.  They lead a vocally-inspired concert which will feature Schubert's Mass in G, selections from Elgar's Sea Pictures and several opera favorites, along with Johann Strauss' famous Voices of Spring Waltz.

The Timmins Symphony Orchestra is looking for new musicians to join our music family.  If you currently play or have previous experience playing an instrument of the orchestra, we want to talk to you.

The Timmins Symphony Orchestra is largely a community based orchestra with professional guidance.  With the help of our music director and concert master, our group fo 40 - 45 musicians meet every Monday evenings from 7 to 9:30pm to work on repertoire to be performed during the main concert series season concerts.  Through the support of our professional and semi-professional musicians, community players gain valuable experience and knowledge of the orchestral repertoire that is the core of the our art.

The Timmins Symphony Chorus also welcomes new signers.  Under the guidance of our musical director and choral conductor, singers of various backgrounds meet every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9:30pm to work on repertoire slated for performance with the orchestra or during other music events throughout the year.  Although musical knowledge (reading musical notation) is a valuable asset, we encourage everyone to join.
