More Good News About Music Lessons!
They are HST free. Tax receipt available.
We have Workshops, Master Classes and Recitals throughout the year. Workshops are open to the public and include such topics as making instruments. Master Classes are for advanced students and they are given by the Timmins Symphony’s guest artists. Recitals give you the opportunity to perform in public, to family and friends.
Some students study for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams . You can discuss this with your teacher who will then ensure that the appropriate syllabus is followed and that you are fully prepared for the exam. We encourage students to participate at the Porcupine Music Festival, Timmins’ own renowned adjudicated annual community music festival. Your teacher will make sure that you are fully prepared for this festival which takes place in the spring. Also each Spring, the School of Music holds an adjudicated Scholarship Competition which is open to every student and we encourage you to participate. The awards are given out at a Main Series Concert.
